I really wish I worked for the maxis team so that my suggestions for more sim variety would at least be heard. it would work best with accessory clothing, and MAYBE some shoes that don't show the child foot mesh (like sandals or low tops).
I scaled the head so that most child hairs and head accessories SHOULD fit properly, but I haven't tested this yet. there are some mods out there that allow children to have adult actions, like cook and stuff, but the limits are unavoidable. why, maxis? this would also mean that your little adult would still act like and sound like a child. unfortunately, this would have to be applied to a sim child to work, and there wouldn't be any body morphs because children and toddlers don't have body morphs. the child rig matches almost perfectly, but some nodes need to be shifted a little. So this is the default female model edited to pretty much match the proportions of the default child model. I personally think that maxis should implement body part length sliders so that there is more variety in sim appearance, especially if the player is making themselves, someone they know, or a character. maybe because even the best height sliders can't seem to achieve this effect. I don't know exactly why I got this idea.
